We stay a lot at the Marriott Hotels when we travel. They were voted Best of the Bay hotels while we were there. I would stop here if I ever return to the wine country. I would rate this hotel 5 stars and more, for your money, just unbelievable. Directions and recommendation of eateries and destination route to the wine country was wonderful. The entire front desk staff were helpful, especially as we were from Tennessee.
The night manager, Stephen was so helpful and gave us a personal tour of the hotel. It is within 1 mile of shopping center, great restaurants and easy off and on of HWY 1 to the wine country. Just kidding, but you want to stay at this hotel and not the chain hotels. They had a fabulous pool, health club ( many locals come just for the health club), restaurant, bar and did I mention the beautiful rooms. I was astonished to find this jewel of a hotel under $200 a night in the wine country? I was even more pleased to see the beautiful rooms, comfortable bed, cleanliness, etc. It had everything and more that even the "chain" hotels don't have. We came upon the Flamingo Conference Resort and Spa. They paired just perfectly with a glass of wine.īe sure to get out to the Lazeaway Club to try out the fantastic area, food and drinks that they have to offer.We toured the Sonoma Valley wine country also looking for a regular "chain" hotel to spend the night. Make sure to save room for dessert! While you may want to try everything on the menu (as I did), you must dabble into the special treats. Shout out to the culinary team and Executive Chef Sergio Morales for creating such fabulous dishes at this new restaurant. I ate a delicious meal starting off with the Scallion Pancake with Trio of Dips and the Lazeaway Chopped Salad These are a must try! The Lazeaway Club hopes to bring the flavors of the Pacific and I can say they did just that! Each bite delivered with the immense flavor and freshness. It created such an open, inviting and bright area! Be sure to start your visit with a cocktail, their mixologist team is spectacular evident in the unique, well done and balanced drinks. I adored how the restaurant overlooked the fabulous pool through the ceiling to floor glass windows. The Lazeaway is for sure a place to get away. I knew I would absolutely love the Lazeaway Club because my experience at the Wild Bird was divine. I was one of the very lucky people who got to taste the divine well-rounded menu before opening, and wow is this new restaurant fantastic! The Lazeaway Club has been added to the Flamingo hotel in addition to the Wild Bird Restaurant that sits near the pool scene. Talk about exciting news! The Flamingo Resort located in Santa Rosa, California has just re-vamped its dining options by introducing the new and delicious Lazeaway Club for guests to enjoy.
